Please add a block feature, or at least something to hide posts from specific users. I don't need XBLAH's gift cards, coupons or ads! They won't work for me, since I don't use Windows (I use a Linux distro), and I don't do everything under a virtual machine. I should be allowed to block ads from XBLAH. And either way, I've heard that their "modding tool" is just a collection of OTHER PEOPLES tools! Note to the XBLAH, if you charge money for one of my tools, I *will* get a "little" angry.

[NOTE: Due to me not checking Portal 1's updates page on Steam at the time of posting, I did not know that Valve has rolled back the "update", thusly the following post has always been a bit out of date, though I will leave the original post contents as below, due to me not being happy with now having to download the 2GB update, just to have it be deleted again because of Steam. I hate Steam, it keeps breaking things for me, and is generally incredibly unreliable in my experience, and thusly I (whenever possible) do not have Steam running. This is a fault on my end, but hey, everyone makes mistakes.] Valve broke Portal 1 in the most recent update. They say they only fixed a crash on Linux, but the size of the update is 2 GB! What Valve did is they merged in the Half-Life 2 20th anniversary update into Portal, which of course causes some issues. Any mods or custom maps that use the Gravity Gun are broken, in that picking up the Gravity Gun crashes the game. The main menu has incorrect…

I've been working on a custom version of StudioMDL, it's not quite ready for release yet. From a vanilla GoldSrc perspective, it's at the level of the Sven Co-op version of StudioMDL. It also runs natively on Linux (thanks to fnky's cross-platform version). And since it's my own little project, I can add any features I want! So, you'll basically be getting the Sven Co-op compiler but with more features. I've mainly been fixing bugs so far, but there are some new QC commands (mainly flipping UVs horizontally and vertically).

If there's any features you want in StudioMDL, please tell me! Since I have a custom version of it, which is basically at Sven Co-op levels in terms of vanilla GoldSrc. I can add pretty much anything. So for example, I may begin working on adding support for pretty much every 3D model format out there, so you can export to OBJ and be able to reference it in your QC and it'll just work.
