This week was very hot and difficult for us =) Yesterday our favorite game celebrated its anniversary, and we congratulate Crowbar Collective. Your game deserves all the awards and even more!

Well, the Black BoX team read the reviews, watched your walkthroughs of the mod and worked on improving the quality of the RTE project.

Words cannot describe how nervous we were, but now the patch is ready and we are happy to present it to you. We apologize for the inconvenience that the release on public_beta brought, this is an invaluable experience for us in the field of releasing projects and we are glad that we went through it)

We also released several add-ons for our mod. The first is a port of the HUD from Black Mesa: Blue Shift, for those who do not like the standard HUD BMS, made by AdrianDogmeat. Second - for those who like hardcore gameplay, now you will have realistic damage from explosions and bullets, which will make the mod much more difficult, and you will feel like a real helpless scientist, without a HEV suit. Third, a package with all the source maps.

I genuinely feel that Black Mesa kept a lot of us going (LambdaGen included) during times of Valve’s absence. The 2015 Early Access release felt a magical time to be a Half-Life fan.

Does anyone remember the Emergency Broadcast ARG and G-Man countdown?

Incredible to think Black Mesa is now 10 years old (or even longer counting the mod release!) Thank you @blackmesadevs for all your amazing efforts making this gem over the years.
