G-Man in Backrooms!

- I was wandering through the level zero, as I felt someone's presence. I turned around and saw him. I managed to take a picture of him, some strange man with a briefcase in his hands, looking like a traveling salesman. At first I thought that this is one of the wanderers and that he, like me, is looking for a transition to another level. I asked what he wanted, but he just stood there, stared at me and said nothing. The strangest thing was that he did not cast a shadow. We stood and looked at each other for a while, then he straightened his tie and turned a corner. I decided to follow him, but he seemed to evaporate. I don’t know if it was a human or an anomaly, but I haven’t come across anything like this. I thought that this place could no longer bring surprises.

This is our fan made trailer of the Half-Life Alpha for 2021. The video was recorded by AymericTheNightmare and mounted by Childeric_Bantu. I've always considered Half-Life Alpha to be the holy grail of Valve Cut Content. I dreamed of being able to play it. It was done when it was leaked. I've filmed a whole bunch of stuff, and we've condensed the best of it here. We can see the different weapons and creatures here in prototype state. I also recorded some fights, just to see how this buil…

"This is how it always starts." "d1_trainstation_01" is a map well known to all since it appears in the real Half-Life 2. However, it looks very different in the Beta of Half-Life 2, although we recognize certain aspects. First of all, the intro in the form of a dream with the G-Man does not exist here. The station is not quite built the same way. Several Beta paths seen here disappeared in the final version, although there are some leftovers. Barney's reveal and dialogue with Kleiner are cl…

Life after Black Mesa

"Following the Black Mesa Incident and the aftermath Seven Hour War with Wallace Breen's surrender to the Combine, life would no longer be the same. Earth would undergo a massive change both domestically and internationally.

The United States Government would effectively be dismantled and its leaders would either be enslaved and/or killed along with the rest of the local population and the UN international community. Any military forces deployed abroad would likely be warned to stay away and dig in, to avoid capture and execution, if they haven't already.

Inventions such as the smart phone, social media, music trends, and anything related would never evolve. Wars in the Middle East, the Financial Recession, and innovation not benefitting the Combine would be halted indefinitely and never come to exist.

The Combine Occupation meant the end of normal human civilization, causing all of human culture, politics, inventions, and knowledge to reach a standstill of the late 1990s and anything left of the 2000's. Everything known by previous generations of people, were either suppressed or replaced with propaganda to have the last humans forget the past 20 years.

The last and youngest generation of this alternate timeline, Generation Z, only grew up with the history told to them by their predecessors, and living in the current Combine-ruled world. A world filled with hunger, sickness, war, despair, and death.

But like many before in history, human resistance cells rose up and began to fight back, vowing to never forget Black Mesa and the people that came before their occupation, so that the Combine may forever be defeated and Earth may be restored to its former glory."

The following posts will be discussing something you'll hear from nobody else because they don't want us knowing this. You already know who they are. Half-Life, along with Deus Ex are the most important games ever made and more than just "Muh gameplay." They are a warning we have ignored and with great cost. The plot of HL1 serves as a deep look into the world both in and outside ours with forces attempting to control ours. The gman is simply the hand of these forces and does what they want and what other paid them to do to us. Why they want this, I don't know but at this point it doesn't matter. The events at black mesa are that of what happened during 9/11; An event so massive it changed everything, shifting the world forever. We now see this with covid as these inhuman monsters attempt to move society back into a fascist hellscape (See HL2). It is important to view these stories not as something trapped within fiction but as portals into the future and warnings from our past. I w…

This is the early version "Kleiner's Lab", from the Half-Life 2 Beta. It was seperated into two maps. The first map begins with the access to the lab, and introduces Isaac Kleiner, and the H.E.V. suit. In the second map, we met Helena Mossman, the infamous Dr. Breen, and more...

depot_2 is an early Depot / Prison map, cut from Half-Life 2 Beta. Gordon has to kill several Combine Soldiers and a few Antlions. There's a "friendly" Antlion Guard. Maybe there should have been a scripted sequence. The prison yard isn't fully modeled, because there is no loading zone.

Hi everyone! My name is Alex, I usually do HL fanart. But today I want to show you my video essay. This is a personal piece that tackles themes of Half-Life: Alyx, so spoilers are ahead. If my Russian accent is too much for you, subtitles are available. You can also check the essay out on Medium, the link is in the video description on YouTube :)
