📝 Introducing Profile Posts 📝 Is it really that time again? Today we're excited to introduce the ability to post directly to your own profile. Have a non-Valve project or creation you've been working on? Maybe you're eager to share your latest gaming adventure? Now you can go beyond Valve and share content on any topic you love with your followers! 👍 That's cool. So how does it work? Simply make a post without a community selected. Members who follow you will see your personal posts in their Home feed, and vice versa. As before, you can also see all posts across on the site, now including Personal Posts on Explore. It’s important to note that profile posts can’t be reposted to communities — so if you have something on-topic, post it in the relevant community as you would before. As part of this update, we’ve also updated the rules, to allow non-Valve content (within personal posts only). Personal posts are subject to all of the usual global rules we have, so have fun, but keep it clean. 🙏 Special Thanks We’re honored to have resident VIP artist @harry101uk create the epic banner specially for this update! #platformchangelog

Exciting news! We have just released a new update that allow staff and moderators to feature posts. Here's what you need to know: 🚀 Featured Posts: Site staff and subcommunity moderators now have the ability to feature posts! Featured posts receive a special badge and highlight, and they also get a slight boost on trending feeds. Authors of featured posts will be rewarded with a special achievement on their profile. 📌 Featured Tab: We have introduced a new Featured tab for every community, user profile and the Explore page. This curated space showcases all the posts that have been featured. It's a great way to discover high-quality content on each specific topic. ✏️ Profile Badge Area Redesign: We have made a small design refinement to the profile badge gallery. Showing off your achievements has never looked better. ⭐️ Featured Art Badge Change: With the introduction of feature posts using stars, we have updated the Featured Fan Art achievement. Be on the lookout for the new and improved badge! 🔧 Fixes: We have resolved a bug that caused the page color theme to become stuck when transitioning from a post to a community. Say goodbye to color cross-overs and enjoy a seamless browsing experience. We hope you enjoy these new features and improvements! Exciting news! Our community platform just got a whole lot better with our latest update! Here's what's new: 🏠 Personalized Home: Home now only shows posts from communities you've joined and people you follow, so you can easily see the content you care about most. 🧭 Explore: Want to see everything going on? You can now discover content from across the site on Explore. 🎨 Draggable Community Selector: Sort your communities to your heart's desire with our new draggable community selector. 👥 Communities Page: Browse all of the communities on our platform with our new Communities page. 🔍 Search Overhaul: Our search engine got a massive overhaul, and now gives results that are at least 333% more relevant. 🎨 Improved Design and Community Theming: The design and UX got a fresh coat of paint with many tweaks to the site layout. Community pages now have more theming options and flair, so they really look the part. 📖 Updated About Page: Our team has grown, and so did our about page. It now includes our expanded team of staff and moderators whose hard work makes this platform possible. 🔧 Fixes: We've finally slain the notorious scrolling bug that kept plaguing the platform. ♻️ THE REPOST UPDATE ♻️ 🚀 NEW FEATURES - Reposting You can now repost posts across multiple communities via the new ♻️ Repost button. Made a cool TF2 animation in SFM, but don’t know which community to post it to? We’ve got you covered. Think of retweeting but for communities. Posts that have been reposted to other communities will show a new repost banner. Posts can only be reposted to the same community once. If someone has already reposted a post to a community, it will be greyed out in the new Repost menu. You can also undo reposts via the … menu. ✏️ CHANGES - Reaction picker The add reaction button has moved to the reactions area. The reaction list now truncates when there’s over 6 reactions (RIP ALLAN), All reactions can be shown by clicking the (...) button. - Rules update Now we’ve added Reposting, we’ve updated the platform rules to make it clear that posts shouldn’t be manually copied or cloned between different communities. If you want to post something between subcommunities - use the new feature! - Changelog's new home From now on were going to be posting our changelogs directly on the site.
