As we are celebrating the 20th anniversary of Half-Life 2 I wanted to show something that I loved and that existed in the past. VALVe launched a skin for Windows Media Player 9 (ninth generation of the Microsoft music player that appeared in Windows XP) that featured the look of Half-Life 2 plus some artwork from the game. You can use it for free without any problems through the Internet Archive website (A museum for preserving old Internet applications). I hope you like it, I loved it and put it on my PC and it shows how VALVe was and still is, perfectionist in its releases and advertising.

My Opinion: VALVe needs to bring HL2WMP back. Please Lord Gaben.

Observation: I wasn't the one who made these arts.

This year marks 20 years of Half-Life 2 and the Source Engine! I believe that VALVe will do a 20th anniversary update of HL2 as well as the 25th anniversary update of HL1. If I were the Boss of VALVe (Like Lord Gaben), I wouldn't repeat the same thing as the 25th anniversary update of HL. Not that I would do it or think it's bad, I would do it better, like instead of focusing on HL1, for HL2 I would do:

-Fix UI Bugs and UI adapted to 16K (Because there is a 16K TV) for the menu and the option to use the Steam Deck interface (Recently, Doom 1+2 uses the option to use 1990s UI);

-Fix the LDR that doesn't exist in some stages of HL2 (Only the mods that fixed this);

-Correct/Update CSS, DODS, TF2, GMOD, Portal 1+2 and L4D 1+2 so that we will have the same treatment as HL2;

-Update SFM to Source 2 (So that SFM would be updated and free, while VALVe's own games would have their own version of SFM), while the old SFM would be ported to TF2 (I was inspired by the idea from Half-Life Alyx, where there is the option to use S2FM and Hammer 5), TF2 having SFM within it is really cool as it is the same quality as SFM from 2012, but updated and modernized, I would be inspired by Blender and Maya 3D (I would do the same thing with HL2, DODS, Portal 1+2, CSS etc);

-Hammer 4 would receive an update for map creation;

-And also a documentary about HL2 as it revolutionized gaming better than HL1;

It would be an update focused on Source Engine/Half-Life 2 Legacy (While last year it was HL1);

What did you think? Agree or Disagree? If you were Lord Gaben, would you update as I said above or do it your way?

I heard about the HLX Rumor, could X refer to Xen? Because the leaks refer to gravity (Xen had a different gravity) and creatures. I think Half-Life should focus on other things than gravity, but I don't see a problem with wanting to focus on that to innovate, besides that, and if HLX (HL3) has Xen, which Xen did you want: Xen Half-Life 1 or Xen Black Mesa Source? One is empty and the other looks like a forest with fauna.

Guys, you think the idea of Lambda Generation having an app on Android & IOS is cool.
My Opinion: I think it would be cool without depending on the site through Google.

This is Lulpe, the family cat here at home, I was helping my mother with some shopping at the market and we saw him on the street (Yes, he was a street cat), he was very small, he knew how to walk. My mother was interested in caring, and as I don't have any problems or allergies to cats, I accepted. I've never kept cats, but dogs. We took him home, he started to grow, meow and we took him for vaccinations (in case he had illnesses). Lulpe is doing well today, it was that year that I found him at the market, he was the first stray that I domesticated and now he is part of the family. Anyone who wants to adopt a stray cat or dog must take responsibility for the care of these animals. This is Lulpe's brief history until he was a member of the family.

17 Years of Orange Box, it was the first game package I bought, in addition to revolutionizing it by bringing new innovative games. The images are not mine. Will we have the Orange Box 2? And if so, what titles do you think it would have? For me, if there was an Orange Box, I would want it (Half-Life 3, Portal 3 and a new franchise/intellectual property - just like what happened with Portal alongside Half-Life 2 and Team Fortress 2).

Guys, I'm Brazilian (Most of the fans of VALVe games are from the United States of America, in Brazil, I'm one of the few Brazilian fans of some VALVe games). On August 17, 2024, Senor Abravanel, known by his fictitious name of Silvio Santos, died of Bronchopneumonia (Inflammation in the Bronchi) and was responsible for bringing the happy side of open TV, creating the SBT channel. I always liked SBT more than its Brazilian competitors - Rede Globo, Band (My father liked it when he was young because of the sports it still has today), RedeTV, TV Cultura. I thought SBT was almost like a family with the employees and artists there and the way it works, he was smiling a lot, he wasn't perfect, we're not perfect because we have flaws, I liked their laugh, he threw a real money plane for the lucky ones to catch and I also liked the animated series he showed at his company (Like Static Shock, Ben 10, Teen Titans 2000s etc) I didn't know the impact of his death outside my country, but Silvio Santos marked generations to the next of my parents, I hope there are more people like that, I would say that Mr. Beast would be Silvio Santos, but worldwide (I don't follow Mr. Beast, but I saw 3/4 of their videos, I managed to see a little of Silvio Santos, finally, Silvio Santos will rest in peace. But since the focus is on VALVe, I always thought that Silvio Santos was the G-Man (The mysterious character from the Half-Life franchise whose name we don't even know), he wears a suit, his skin is pale. I don't think that Gaben Newell and his team in 1996-1997 (Development of Half-Life 1), came to my country and used Silvio Santos as inspiration for G-Man (Not even the HL1 25th Anniversary Documentary talks about that) , I don't think that Silvio Santos inspired one of the most mysterious characters in games (If they actually used Silvio Santos as inspiration, I would say: ''IT'S NOT POSSIBLE, even Brazil inspires North Americans''.

It's folks, Half-Life 2 will be 20 years old in less than a month. Half-Life 2 is my favorite in the Half-Life saga. 20 years ago, it revolutionized games by bringing Physics Gameplay and has aged well nowadays (Art Direction, Gameplay, Character Facial Expression and Sound have aged very well to this day). My best moments were using the Gravity Gun and throwing car engines at the zombies instead of the saws, the water in the game is still beautiful to this day and the Buggy is my best vehicle experience in the game than the Airboat. It inspired the franchises Metro, BioShock, Half-Life 2 is from 2004 (2004: Grand Theft Auto - San Andreas, Need for Speed - Underground 2, Far Cry, Killzone, Halo 2, Doom 3, Unreal Tournament 2004, Burnout 3 - Takedown , World of Warcraft, Metal Gear Solid 3 - Snake Eater, remember some of them? One of the best years in gaming). Half-Life 2 for me is the best game of all time (you have your best game of all time, I have Half-Life 2 and it will be impossible for me to take it away!). For everyone reading this, there is a before and after of Half-Life 2. The Source Engine debuted in Half-Life 2 (Counter-Strike Source only showed great visual/sound/gameplay improvements), the Source Engine evolves until 2012 and Source 2 is our current moment.

I also hope for a 20th anniversary update of HL2 in the style of HL1 (Documentary, fix bugs and add Lost Coast, Episode 1 + 2 and Deathmatch into Half-Life 2 as well as Uplink from HL1 and Doom 2 into Doom 1.

The images show: Freeman made by the VALVe team. Doctor from TF2 dressed as Freeman made by Doctor Tiranus + the original images.

Congratulations Half-Life 2.
