I unfortunately due to some course works, was not able to make a proper homage to the late Viktor Antonov. Yet, I had this unpublished piece of art (which in fact was meant for a school assignment), and I thought it fitted the vibe of Antonov's work in Half Life 2...of course this was an homage to the Lonely Road artwork but still...

I was out yesterday and I pratically found a level from Water Hazard, ignoring the grass and trees that are pretty much alive and they should be dead if it was game accurate but anyway.
And to help the sky was cloudy
Note: A small history lesson but an interesting fact nonetheless is that, the river in the picture is were the first ruler of the Empire of Brazil at the time declared independence for the country.

One of the few Half Life 2 cover art recreations I did for the 20th Anniversary...there's something very special coming for the 20th Anniversary, it was meant to be published on November 16th but due to school...I got delayed. But do not worry, it will be released until the end of the year... #HL2-20

I received some very sad News early this morning...The visionary art direct for Half Life 2, Viktor Antonov has passed away. The incredible visionary, creative and amazing artits was the one responsible for making Half Life 2 what is it today, along with the Valve team. His vision of a dystopian world was one of my favorites, his artwork and visions where and still are massive insparitions to me and many others...The steampunk aesthetic mixed with the organic yet blocky nature of his architechtu…

Sooooo TODAY... is the 3rd of November...and we all why this day is so special (aside from it being Godzilla day, most speficically the 70th Anniversary) but atlast. Today our dear Lord and Savior Mr Gabe Newell is having his 62nd birthday! Happy birthday Gabe Newell, if it wans't for you we maybe would have never formed this community nor have the amazing games that have been going since 1998. Thank You.

Since this is the week leading up to Half Life 2's 20th Anniversary, I thought of posting a few drawing that I had done, those being from 3 years ago and a few recent ones. Unfortunatly the actual poster for the 20th Anniversary will have to be delayed due to school taking alot of my time...but it will be finished. So to start, I thought of posting my first accurate Freeman drawing.

First attempt at making Chell from Portal (2007), really was to understand the design. I made a lot of these to understand the character designs, especially from Half Life.
