Hello again~! It's been a couple weeks... I think. My work on FreeDMC is rapidly approaching being done! Hopefully a playable version will be out soon for the public, but for now, have these images of the new and improved Proximity Mine Launcher view model (plus its exclusive ammo type that'll be only usable in FreeDMC)! As before, the textures are by me and @dakashi, but I further improved upon my portions using DaKashi's work to make it overally more consistent in quality! Enjoy~!
Hey! Check out these updated shotgun ammo box pickups I did! I took a little inspiration from the Half-Life HD shotgun ammo box with the modeled out shells to make them pop a bit more, and added a new top texture + an exclusive variant for FreeDMC! The shotgun and super shotgun were left out with their new ammotypes, so we've got one of our own in the works! Can you guess what it might be~? Anywho, enjoy!
So... DMC didn't have runes like Quake or DoE did, but now it does~! FreeDMC will implement these runes to be exactly like their DoE counterparts! While the D and C are nearly exact copies of the font used in the logo, I took a couple liberties making the M and V (which stands for Valve)~!
I never really liked how the DMC backpack model was just a lazy recolour of the TFC backpack, so I set out to make a new one that bears more of a resemblance to the DMC models while also looking more like the original Quake backpack! I'm not a great texture artist though, so I asked @dakashi for help, and this was the result! A brand-spankin' new backpack model for DMC and FreeDMC~!
I meant to post these immediately after the previous two posts, but Pride Month celebrations got in the way~! Anyway, these are my custom interpretations of what the DMCified multirockets and multigrenades from Dissolution of Eternity might've looked like if they were made! The corresponding weapon models are on their way as well, but these are the pickups for now!
Double post~! Here's the other model that actually kicked off the whole FreeDMC pack, the Rocket! The other one is a model replacement for the rocket model, which for some reason just reused the standard HL one, even though the pickups for the rockets (which was also tweaked slightly) and the launcher had a different looking one! This one unites them all to be consistent!
Some more FreeDMC stuff! These are the models that kicked off the whole shindig in the first place! The Lightning/Plasma Gun models! The Plasma Gun is from Dissolution of Eternity and I wanted to make a DMCified model for it, so here it is! Even though DoE does not have a pickup for the Plasma Gun, I needed to make a p_ model variant, so I made a g_ version for fun too!
I'm still around! Sorry I haven't been posting lately, but I've been caught up in all sorts of stuff lately... Anyway, here's some little things I've been working on for FreeDMC! Some minor tweaks to existing models, and some entirely new ones! These ones in particular are the nail ammo pickups. Standard and Lava variant from Dissolution of Eternity!
