Hi all! You might have heard the news, but a couple of YouTubers and myself are trying to break the all-time peak concurrent players record for Half Life 2. On August 14th, we request you launch Half-Life 2 and just play for at least an hour or so. Enough to let the chart websites record your session. The first milestone is the SteamCharts record at 6,886 players. The second and final milestone is the SteamDB record at 12,000 players. Thank you!
Looking at Project Urban Conflict screenshots. HL2 Beta styled mod for HL1. God damn this looks like a v i b e. Pure GoldSrc aesthetic. Shame it got cancelled though.
All that time spent monitoring him was a waste

I haven't covered them properly yet, but the 2002 maps have this strange "misty" type of feel to them. It gives off/exaggerates the "depressing world feeling". Sure it's supposed to be a cold, bleak, depressing world in the retail game too, but there's something special in the 2002 maps. Also that under-construction Citadel looks amazing.
Really wish more of the Wasteland was shown in retail HL2. Just a few seconds of it during the Kleiner teleportation scene doesn't do the concept any justice :(
Time to get dark and gritty like the Half-Life 2 Beta, lads
