Possibly one of Ted Backman's inspiration for Xen, from the novel Expedition 1990. I hope we get to see Xen again in Valve's next Half-Life title.

I love that Chumtoads still have a tiny bit of AI that allows them to hunt Snarks. Whoever cut Chumtoads from HL1 is a menace to society.

Well hello, I still haven't posted anything here yet so here's a random concept from a 7 Hour War HL2 mod that I was working on until I canned it because I can't code Bullsquids, Houndeyes or the Xombies which would basically act like Zombines but without Grenades. Xombies are essentially a weaker however more common variant of "Jeff" from HLA.
