Did you know that Half-Life had Alias Model (Quake Model) support up until 2013?

That's right! The 2013 Steampipe update broke Alias Models! Why!? Who knows!

First Image: Half-Life RC4 (November 1st, 1998)
Second Image: Half-Life Build 4554 (June 15th, 2009)

There's something quite amusing with the development screenshots of C3A2.

The maps are mostly untouched between retail and the maps from around mid-1998. Some minor changes like a hallway being closed up and the portal sprites just being colored rectangular prisms.

(First and third photos are pre-release and second and fourth photo are retail.)

Lets pour one out for the fallen GoldSource solders that fell victim to the 25th anniversary update:
Counter-Strike
Counter-Strike: Condition Zero
Counter-Strike: Condition Zero Deleted Scenes
Day of Defeat
Half-Life: Blue Shift
Deathmatch Classic

and all of the menus for everything but Half-Life 1.

Will it be fixed?
Yeah, probably. Hopefully sooner than later.
