i don't really have an opinion on this, like i don't even care that much for adrian or for race x and shit but i would be a bit biased against no, since it really doesn't matter in the grand scheme of the post resonance cascade world unless valve pulls some shit outta their ass during hl3.
plus i'm the kinda person who prefers concrete evidence when it comes to canonicity rather than heavy assumptions which is why any mention of the gearbox expansions in lore discussion (imo) shouldn't be passed as fact and should be taken with a grain of salt.
for me it's simple : Schrödinger's cat
Schrödinger's Canon
As the writer of the series once said "canon itself is non-canon," Whatever the fuck that means, I believe that they are 100% cannon.
he said that about the expansion packs tho
I personally think that they are, because it kind of would've been a waste of money for Valve to hire Gearbox then
Both!
idk prolly not
nah, ofc yes!
It's canon until officially stated otherwise.
Cannon since I am waiting for Gordon Freeman and Adrian Shepard to team up and go to the Combine Overworld and fuck shit up.
adrian!!! adrian is cannon in my heart
Since it hasn’t been outright confirmed that the expansions are canon yet, I will consider them canon until Valve says otherwise.
