I thought about uploading some past recordings of development for this, but I decided to make a super small gameplay snippet instead! Featuring current mechanics such as the updated 3rd person camera, dual animation system, some weapon and platforming mechanics. Music is from Incoming by Rage Software because it fits the era and esthetic, and I currently have no music or composer for this!

hmmm, seeing your enemies. great sound-place holders would be the pokemon cries of escavalier and elecrabuzz. idk... that's the first thing it came into my head
What happens when you get hit while hanging, if they can even do that?
Melee enemies cannot hurt the player when you are grabbing a ledge. As far as projectile based ones however I'm not sure which way I'd like it to be handled with either being knocked off or just taking damage but remaining on.
If you make it so that you get knocked off, then you can prolong the time it takes to complete climbing levels.
