Took me 20 hours to make this second birthday map, unlike the first one which I only spent ~4 hours on. ADHD goes brr.
Gotta love making cute birthday maps!
I may have a very minor case of serious brain damage. I've decided to make a better "collision model" for the Combine Tower model, made entirely out of just brushes. I swear I have friends.
Finally figured out how to 1. create custom particle effects. 2. pack custom particle effects into my maps. Huge thanks to TeamSpen210 helping me figure out how to pack this!
Decided to make some more custom textures, tried to give them this "worn" effect (stained and partially translucent). I think it turned out pretty okay for my first attempt!
I'd imagine this is how these Stasis Pods were transported to modern Aperture.
( Hammer | in-game screenshot | in-game gif ) Only took me ~3 years to finally learn how to animate properly. And now I can effectively make even more useless textures for my maps that I will probably never end up uploading anyway!
I don't know how many people have done this before me, but it always makes me feel very satisfied whenever I decide to make curvy display screens, rather than your average flatscreen monitor that you commonly see in most source games & mods.
Would you believe me if I said that I hadn't planned on making this?
I am in need of Source Engine and/or Portal 2 experts. Can someone explain to me why there are some custom/hidden console commands, most of which are restricted to only the cooperative mode?
