What if...Valve decided to follow Quake's footsteps and re-release Half-Life in a new Enhanced Edition? Featuring the return of the original 1998 menu UI, while at the same time updating it to be Steam-friendly! #HalfLife

Black Mesa - Game menu re-redesign concept, modernising the old Source-styled design making it both desktop and controller-friendly at the same time. Inspired by Doom Eternal’s menu.

Blast from the past.

HalfLife2.net (now ValveTime.co.uk) front page, circa August 2005.

While nowadays ValveTime seems to be fading into obscurity, I'm glad that Half-Life fansites are still a thing thanks to this. This is like the saving grace of them, and I hope this site can successfully recapture the spirit of community-run HL websites back in the day.
