The muscle car from Half-Life 2: Episode 2 is modeled after the 1969 Dodge Charger R/T, which is considered one of the greatest muscle cars of all time. Originally, the muscle car was called the "jalopy" and was modeled after a heavily junked Volkswagen Beetle. This was changed because players felt it was too similar to the buggy from Half-Life 2. Muscle cars are cooler anyway.
