Westeh's troubleshooting tips:
- Missing hl2.exe? When I installed the Source SDK 2007 for me, it didn't work out of the box (even when I had Half-Life 2 installed), so I had to copy and paste the hl2.exe into the Source SDK 2007 folder [right click Age of Chivalry in your library > click on properties > Installed files - then click on Browse] and it worked!
- Game crashes when skipping the intro:
[right click the game on your library > click on properties > General - in Launch options type in: -novid]
it will skip the video entirely and boot you straight to the main menu.
- The screen is half dark when I'm in the game. What do I do? This is because the game's UI is set to 4:3, and it's not very supportive of widescreen monitors. My solution here is to mess with the graphics options a little bit—try disabling bloom; it eventually disappeared for me. If that doesn't work, playing it at 4:3 works just fine. Be careful when changing the graphics in the middle of the match; it tends to crash!
