This has actually been in development a while! - As Gaben would say "These things, they take time".
The current platform design is still very much a MVP (prototype) and rough around the edges, compared to our end vision for it.
We'd like each community here to feel like they are their own site outright (as opposed to just subsections like they do now) with themes being an integral part of achieving that.
I can't promise this will be ready soon, but it will come with a major overhaul we are working on, as part of something much greater ^^ 🪐

Every subcommunity will have its own theme. This will be fixed for each. Maybe will explore themes on profiles one day too.
