NVIDIA just open-sourced their Portal RTX Remix Runtime for the modding community to use. This allows modders to add ray tracing to existing Source games/mods without changes to runtime. Modder Igor Zdrovovitch has already got this working on Half-Life 2 and it looks stunning... people who dont have rtx trying to run it
I am very excited to see Day Of Defeat: Source RTX
imo it still needs some tweaking (supercharged grav gun looks goofy), but for something that just started developement it looks amazing i agree imagine this with mmod i'd play the shit out of that if my pc could run rtx lmao
That first image straight up looks like something that could've come from an (animated) movie or something. Impressive as hell!
Oh boy, can't wait to see how good Dark Messiah will look with RTX!
I hate this trend so much, but, I must say, that Half-Life 2 was a better candidate for a RTX mod than Portal
How do I even install it
Noo way, this is great news!
I love the 3rd pic since it gives off such a beta vibe
Yo can't wait for rtx krystal alyx
Ray tracing on half life fits the game more than Portal RTX
THEY MADE HL2 GO HARD???!!
Now imagine trying to run this in the VR mod
