It just occurred to me why he 9mmar only has 25 rounds in the mag when you pick it up, it's supposed to reflect the fact that the hgrunts had already fired the gun.. This may be common knowledge but it legit didn't click for me until just last night, only took 24 years x_x

i have never before heard someone refer to the mp5 as the 9mm assault rifle
Ah, it's cause I've spent so many hours pouring over skins, the models for the mp5 are called x_9mmar.mdl. It's also referred to as the 9mmar in the code as well, e.g /give weapon_9mmar.
oh, sorry, never knew that. i don't spend very much time in the hl1 files save for grabbing some scientist pain sounds

I remember a post saying that the MP5 having 25 Bullet when you first get it is a bug, i don't really remember the Original Person that Made the post
Could've been implemented better. I always thought it's just a bug.
Same here, that's why I was so surprised when an alternative occurred to me. I might just be baked though.

That's what threw me for so long, I think that's just a consequence of wanting it to appear as been used in the campaign. I think they could have given the entity a key value so mappers could choose if the pickup has 25 or 50. Maybe they thought it was minor enough to not be worth the dev time to make that flag.
