I REALLY love the fact that rather than using Portal 2's rendition of Aperture Science, you're using Portal 1's version instead. I think it's a really good decision, since Portal resembles Half-Life 2 a lot (mostly because of the reuse of assets.)
Portal 2's assets are significantly more detailed than Half-Life 2's assets and it would look severely out of place and inconsistent. Plus, I just really love Portal 1's version of Aperture. I think it's underrated and under appreciated.
