They were the golden years. Seriously! Those were some of the best years of my life, waiting for Orange Box to arrive. I don't think I've ever spent so much money on gaming magazines. I would read them religiously in anticipation of Episode 2, Portal and TF2. Episode 2 actually answered some of the questions we had - and then the ending hit like a ton of bricks.
14 years since we were first introduced to the wonderful thing that is the Aperture Science Test-from-Home Initiative Part 1, otherwise known as Portal.
Dude holy shit, I remember I got the Orange Box on December 25, 2009 (Christmas Day of 2009) over at my grandma's house. I got the MW2 Xbox 360 with The Orange Box, COD MW2 (Obviously) and other games that I forgot and didn't care about. It was an amazing time for me and my brother since we were HUGE Half-life fans. We didn't get to play the Episodes until we got this version on the Xbox 360. I knew about the Episodes from the internet, but my dad was confused by the titles and just thought it was Half-life 2... Thanks Valve.
The copy on the right of this picture was that same Orange Box I got 12 years ago. The one on the left is something I got this year. I need a PC version for my collection.
