SURVEY QUESTION: Would you personally be interested in a DVD ISO, with an optional autorun/gui, that contains all of the TESTED/CONFIRMED mods and maps that run under Half-life WON? I ask because it's been a bit difficult at times to differentiate between Steam mods and WON mods for myself so I'm thinking of making an updated version of something like this: archive.org/details/Half-LifeAdd… I have zero clue as to how many people actually play the WON version of Half-life still so I'm keen to get an idea. You can use Xash3D instead of Won, it run almost any mod for half life and have this coolass menu
I've got Xash3D installed but I don't use it because the q3 font on the main menu looks weird and makes the custom games menu look a bit shit. I guess I should try it out, sounds like it might be worth it. I do notice some skins not working properly in WON, they show up as all black or with messed up transparency. I assume Xash3D will sort all that out.

If you use some old videocard. I recommend using original last Xash3d build (when i has Virge S3. It look almost as twice better then GolSRC), but it does not support last mods. If you have somehow newer PC - FWGS is better options because newer mods work on it
My gpu is a GeForce mmx440 and I'm using the latest version (no fork) which should be right based on your comment so thanks for that. I'm not fussed about playing newer mods like brutal half-life since I can play that on my win 10 machine. I'm reading through the documentation and the cvars from 'makehelp' but I'm still keen to hear what features people like about Xash3D.
Brutal Half Life works almost perfect as an 3d, as an FWGS. About features. Main thing what make Xash3d good, it's varoious and many bugfixes and optimisation
