I had this idea in my head for a while: Brush out the map first and then draw custom textures which would be fitting the brush/faces precisely, down to the pixel later. Unfortunately, I am only somewhat experienced in a vector drawing software. As a result, the textures became somewhat clean looking and pixelated. I used GoldSrc's detail textures to balance out the clean look and disabled texture filtering to enhance the pixel look even more. Could be a map for one of the countless retro-boomer-shooter-rehash-games I have in my pile of shame. Oh well... It was a fun experiment and a cool little distraction. Now it's back to Solitary Echoes once again! Expect an update soon!
