Meet John Doe, a random character/model i use to test numerous stuff on mods i usually work on. He has also served as a placeholder most of the times.

Funnily enough, he started as a slightly modified version of the original Gordon model, but i had to make a placeholder for a security guard, so he was replaced with an edited version of Barney.
Another peculiar thing is that he evolved from a simple test model to some sort of small recurrent character in various mods and maps. Soon enough, he became iconic to me (and others) as the regular Barney model or the various scientists like Walter or Slick.

While most of the maps and mods where he had a cameo never got to release, often the people involved in the development seemed to really like this "blank-slate" character, and they usually created their own version in their minds, a different voice, personality, skills, lore, etc. much like other Half-Life protagonists.

Just a tought, how weird the whole story is with this character.
