i suppose so, i guess Xash3D doesn't have too much of a difference with the original Half-life 1, other than the different menu display (or whatever you may call it), and we can have better audio quality for npc's to speak, as well as being able to make textures have full-bright on models). but then again you probably know better than i do when it comes to the Xash3D engine
The purpose of the engine is being a 100%-compatible with goldsrc, so half-life and mods could work there, as well as other goldsrc games in theory. But since it's open-source, that's where all the benefits come. I always preferred goldsrc instead of source, I like the workflow, mapping, and so on...but it's too limiting. Xash provides much more freedom and it's also constantly being updated.
Xash3d? This loos better than black mesa!
lol thanks :D yep it's Xash!
how can Xash3d have such amazing graphics like this? like this is quite hard to believe
Because Xash3D has proper opengl support without stupid hacks and tricks like in GoldSrc
