- info_player_start is a good reference for scale with default HL maps, if you're mapping with J.A.C.K. (Hammer/WorldCraft is not setup to read HL studio models.)
- All Half-Life textures are typically designed to be at the scale of 1.0, therefore where the texture ends and starts will typically match up with the player height. In some cases you may want to adjust the texture scale, but its good to keep it at 1.0 for a first draft.
- You can change the grid scale. Its nice to have the grid at a higher scale (larger grid tiles) when you're in the greyboxing stage, then to make the grid have a much smaller scale (smaller grid tiles) when doing the finer details.
