Question: What IS CFLU? I only have info from the wiki and it's not very trustworthy + it's not much. So I ask what it is. What are it's symptoms? Where did it come from? How are combine soldiers infected and why wasn't the resistance trying to weaponize it? Is there something I missed or is it simply left ambiguous?

What is it? It's a Xenium bacterium that slipped through the City 10 quantinode field. Symptoms? Heavy flu like symptoms hence the name plus rapid degradation of combine-body synthetics. If you were a combine soldier with CFLU, your host body is would be attacked by the bacterium and your combine transhuman mechanical additions would rejected by the host. (Thanks WebMD) Where did it come from? The quantinode core functions by way of a portal singularity wrapped in a stasis field. EZ1 assumes the Pillar 10 singularity endpoint was Xen. The bacterium made it through, into the ventilation of Pillar 10 where it became aerosolized and distributed. How were soldiers infected? It's not like a virus; it's a bacterium. You could inhale it. Get it on your skin. It would grow on you, enter the crevices of your suit. Why not weaponize it? Because it affected humans too and it would also linger in their corpses, hence the whole "The dead go underground!" thing in City 10. IS WOULD BE? I wish I could edit my post.
I originally thought it was the cause for the husks, but that's way cooler

Breadman says a few things about C-FLU on this old lore discussion Q&A from 2017: steamcommunity.com/app/714070/di… I don't think it answers all of your questions, but it might help you get a better understanding of it
HI BLIX :D
it only infected the augmentations from soldiers originally but then it had evolved to infect the rebels. it was kept at bay by cold, so only certian rebels in city 10 survived and some of the metrocops joined the rebels in sheltering
