In editor shots only here I'm afraid. I have to say, since wrapping up my 3D Realms stuff and returning to work on The Core in my free time, I have found it far more satisfying to create textures without relying almost entirely on photoshop layer styles.

Don't get me wrong, I'm still using them here and there, but I feel that the little hand drawn details and edge highlights really give the textures new life.

Probably going to be a looong time before I update the C42:Contact project again. In the meantime, here's the Colony 42 crew.

Some shots from the opening map for a mod which never got further than a few rooms. This was supposed to be set aboard a space station in deep space, not unlike the mod Colony 42 which was eventually released as an incomplete alpha.

The map is long gone now, but I still kept a copy of these shots because I was really quite happy with the style I went with.

I've starting working on a little lunch time project. I get 30 minutes for lunch during my day job which I spend at my desk anyway so I figured, why not work on something in that time.

It's not enough time to work on anything significant for 3DRealms or The Core so I decided to work on something fresh to get the creative juices flowing.

So here it is. The first three days worth (or 90 minutes worth at least). Last 30 minute break of the week tomorrow will be spent wrapping up the opening hallway and prepping the side rooms for next weeks sessions. :D
