Turns out the loading intro in Deep Rock Galactic is just an MP4, after spending an hour understanding the "intricacies" of some's, I was able to do this Enjoy.

Hello, please and welcome, my 1:1 recreation of the original HL2 Beta menu background in high resolution. I didn't use any AI Upscale or Photoshop. 

The main pain was the "glitch" texture on top of the citadel, I redrew it from scratch, after that the pain was the composition, I couldn't understand for a long time why the wall here is longer than on the official concept art, it turns out it's 1/3 of the original part of the wall re-inserted.

I'm very happy that I was able to make this on my own from basic tools. And it was a nice project for myself. I'll post a couple of alt versions in the future.

I'm not the first one, and I won't be the last. 
But I'm damn proud of myself for completing it, and I'll be proud for long time of myself for doing it. It took a year because I just quit on the "interloper" chapter, but I came back full of spirit and confidence and finished it! HELL YEAH! Pepperoni, you're next...
