How do you believe that half life: decay's ending leads into the ending of the characters as said by Randy Pitchford here:

Or if you have a different theory on how the characters' arcs went after the Black Mesa incident. Personally I believe a lot is up to interpretation not just in that period but in the game itself, for example when you enter the lift with Dr.Rosenberg and appear in a different one next load transition.
Whether this is Gearbox being Gearbox or an intended jump is honestly pretty vague to this day.
