The Combine Overwatch Announcer What is your opinions on the character of the Overwatch Announcer lady? I really like cold blooded voice, it's just so good and fitting the atmosphere! Nobody talks about this great misc. character, Ellen McLain also very rarely discusses her performance in the HL-games! The Overwatch Voice, sometimes simply referred to as Overwatch in-game, is an Artificial Intelligence device with a female voice that broadcasts orders to units via their communication radios, as well as via local PA systems. She is tasked with commanding all overwatch forces on the earth, as well as giving orders to Citizens. Her role also offers significant insight into the inner workings of the Combine.
