Though it is sad that they are dead, they will never truly die, at least for a while. As GlaDOS said, you die twice. Once when you physically die and then once more when your name is said for the last time. Let's never forget them.
Fortunately, outside of Half-Life, they've both had their own successful acting careers. There's a lot of people who will remember them, not just us nerds in the Half-Life community!
