I was able to import Quixel Megascans straight to Source, not Blender, no VTFEdit. Just open the zip, set the surface properties, select the level of detail you want and hit compile.

I'm no modeler, so this will be REALLY useful in my mods, since now I'll have a lot more assets available to use in Source.
