I can't wait for Apple to drop all support for Intel Mac based applications and Valve to remove all support for macOS from Steam. As I can guarantee that Valve will not go back and change the summary for Day of Defeat: Source to reflect that it would be now UNAVAILABLE on macOS.

But I like having Steam for Mac! I’ve committed to switching, and I don’t want any reason to have to get a PC. (Don’t respond- I don’t want to get into a Mac vs PC flame war, since those never end well.)

It is only a matter of time they drop support for the Intel-based Macs and drop backwards compatibility on the M1 for Intel Mac software. Similar to how they ditched PowerPC. There’s at least still Wine for Intel Macs and there will likely be a similar product for M1 (if not already) that makes the Intel Mac software run.

As an avid Mac user I have never played any games on a Mac except for 5 minutes to get the TF2 ear buds.
