As some of you are aware, Kralich recently made the difficult decision to step down from LambdaBuilds to focus on other projects. Those who follow him will know he is working on the upcoming Portal: Prelude RTX remaster, which requires a lot of his attention. LambdaBuilds was only ever possible because of Kralich’s profound experience with Source mapping and dedication to the modding community. Without him we are not confident we can pull future competitions off to a standard we would be happy with. The rest of our team is also extremely overloaded developing our platform, and we would like to focus on that right now, so we can keep pushing new features and expanding it. As a result, we have made the tough decision to end our LambdaBuilds competitions for the foreseeable future. This was not an easy decision, as we really enjoyed hosting LambdaBuilds, and had plans for future themes. There is, however, only so much we can do. At LambdaGeneration, we pride ourselves in not releasing things unless they are to a high standard, and we would rather not do something than do it half-baked. We hope people can appreciate this. We want to give a huge thanks to Kralich. Without him, LambdaBuilds would not have been possible. We wish him all the best in his future endeavors. Thank you also to everyone who participated in LambdaBuilds - it was a pleasure to host, and a ton of fun to judge. We hope LambdaBuilds has had a positive impact - whether it's been helping people learning Hammer, or advancing people's level design portfolios/careers. New mods rely on pooling talent from the community, and we hope LambdaBuilds contributed towards that in some way. The LambdaBuilds site ( lambdabuilds.lambdageneration.co… ) will remain as a permanent archive/download of previous competitions. Those of you who have a LambdaBuilds role/badge on our site & Discord - these will also be retained.

tldr kralich is gone, lamdabuilds is done, nobody can keep it up due to worker overload by juggling both and they thank those who participated.
