No joke, back in the glory days of the Nintendo DS, I desperately wanted Half-Life 1 to get ported to it. This sure brings me back to that era.

I love this. The Nintendo DS was a significant part of my childhood, and seeing it combined with Half-Life 2 just feels like the perfect match that was never meant to be... Even the charm of shoddy DS 3D graphics feels right here, haha One small nitpick, I believe it'd make more sense for the viewpoint screen to be on the top, while the weapon selection is on the bottom screen. I edited it to show what I mean below. I imagine that the touch screen would be used for aiming and weapon selection, like Metroid Prime Hunters.

I think this makes a lot more sense (also maybe a bit darker of lambda but thats a super nit pick) also to the original creator of the post this is an awesome idea and very cool execution

I feel like the only DS system that Half-Life 2 would work on is a New 3DS

I remember seeing a video of someone play a really stripped down version of HL1 running on a modified version of the Quake Engine (not GoldSrc)
