What I really like is that this follows the canon naming of the enslaved vorts (and probably the grunts too) and not just "oh yeah his name is Grugduurrr"
exactly ! i looked to the naming convention of the vort drones you play as in the xen attacks level in half life decay :) i wanted to stick to something with presedent in the canon but also in line with how i think my guy would actually prefer since theres also prescedent for vorts to use human/angliscized names (ie gary or uriah) but i think V-8751 has existed with the self concept of being a weapon and inhuman that human self conceptions of personhood dont jive with it which is why it primarily uses it/its pronouns :)
oh ! according to online gamings review of half life, they say that the armor is part of the grunt, so theoretically that may or may not be canon in the original half life, but ive based my grunt on the design of them in the black mesa remake where you can see the manugacturing process where theyre nakey ! you can also see a nakey grunt in black mesa in the beginnjng of questionable eyhics ! :)

I always thought the armor was a part of the alien grunt. Never thought about a naked alien grunt
