alyx got high on the xen syringes during the events of half life alyx
the xen syringes are made from the water pool things in xen. basically i hc that it calms u down and since alyx kept injecting that shit over and over again thats why she didnt notice anything off with gman. Its like being in a dream where you cant tell something is wrong until you wake up. i hope that makes sense

I have a few head canons I’d like to share: 1. Portal storms act similar to EMPs disrupting electrical devices and causing air vehicles to crash. They also cause weak structures to collapse as shown at the start of Episode 2 where the bridge collapses. 2. The turrets used by the Combine are actually based on Aperture’s turrets since they pretty much act the same way minus the talking part. During the fight between GLaDOS in Portal, she says “I am the only thing standing between us and… them.” GLaDOS could’ve struck a deal with the Combine by letting them use some of their tech in order to leave Aperture alone. 3. Odell exists in retail HL2 and is Odessa Cubbage’s twin brother. 4. Most metrocops are only part of the Combine because they want better living conditions and during the Uprising these metrocops defect to the Resistance. 5. The AR3 guy is actually telling the truth and he really can kill hunters with his barehands. 6. Otis survived the Black Mesa Incident and is a high ranking member of the Resistance. The only reason we don’t see him in HL2 is because he’s in a different branch of the Resistance, probably the Resistance group in City 14. 7. Gordon Freeman voice sounds exactly like he does in Freeman’s Mind. Those are my some of my head canons for the Half-Life games. I’d share some more but this comment is already long as is.
The music that plays during the half life series is actually coming from the HEV suit which has a selection of “pump you up rock songs” that it play at opportune times
