EngiApr 14, 2022Half-LifeWhat was the first Half-Life/Half-Life 2 mod you've played? The first mod I played was Human Error since I wanted to play as either a combine soldier or CP officer back when I finished HL2 EP2.71517
Garry’s mod 7 I feel old…
Nice. I remember trying to play the mod version of GMod after the steampipe update. It wouldn't work unfortunately. Oh well, I got GMod 13 on Steam some time later.
I think Portal has a chance of counting since it's built off of the same Source engine that powers Half Life 2 and it uses the Half Life 2 assets. If that doesn't count, I'll say that GMOD is my first mod
When I was little, around 9 years old, my dad said he would download any game I wanted as a birthday present. I didn't know anything about Half-Life or Portal at the time, but I picked Gmod because I thought it looked cool. Now, I didn't know what it was at the time, so I ended up shunting it aside in favor of the games I already knew. It wasn't until recently that I started playing with it again.
I remember playing Zombie Master when it had tons of players, a perfect mod for me since I played a lot of RTS games (Homeworks 2, Ground Controll 2, etc.) at the time. Now I'm more of an FPS person. The other Source mod nearest to my hearth would be The Hidden: Source. For Half-Life it would be Sven-Coop.
I typed this on mobile I was meant to say Homeworld 2, gosh darn you autocorrect!
ive never played half life or half life 2 mods
I think the first mod I played was MMOD
Black Mesa, back when it was just a mod.
that's how I noticed Black Mesa. One of my friends showed and recommended it to me. A few years later I got BM on steam back when it was still in early access.
Half-Life; Sven Co-op Half-Life 2; Garry’s mod 11
I started playing Half-Life 1 mods about 2-3 years ago, in those days I played many mods and I don’t remember which was the first, maybe it was an azure sheep or an anti-climax.
some sort of source test thingy
For me it was good 13 Yeah, I was a bit late.
Gmod. autocorrect ruins everything
