For HL1 mods, Life's End, USS Darkstar, Hazardous Course 2, Azure Sheep, Point of View, Induction, Sweet Half-Life, and Peaces Like Us are pretty good mods too. (Tried not to repeat mods others already mentioned)
Aw, damn. I definitely like that mod but at least there are other good choices to play! Oh, and I forgot a couple when I typed up that list, TWHL Tower 1 and 2 are fun variety mods.
I figured out what I was doing wrong. I was extracting the files prematurely, then copying and pasting them into my half life folder. I am now able to play the mods y’all suggested, including POV. Let’s goooooo
HL1 : Urbicide, SUM, Evasion, Focalpoint, Challenger deep 2, Residual point, Residual life, life's end, zombie edition, the world machine, uriel, Operation rosenberg, Operation Rift
HL2: Deeper down, research and development, dangerous world 2, i would even recomend mods from SPYmaps. I say they pretty fun. Closure, strider mountain and coastline to atmosphere. They fun under mmod, just don't take them too seriously : )
also for hl2: whoopservatory, infiltration and precursor.
