hey, i just got done, and noticed a couple of issues with the build: 1) the default resolution was set to 1 X 1801 so the game displayed as a black screen with a tall grey line in the center. 2) mouse options were inaccessible 3) default mouse sensitivity is way too low, in FPS games the player needs to be quick and responsive, i personally use a sensitivity of 6, which allows me to make a full 180 degree turn with a small mouse movement i really enjoyed the NPCs, their AI is certainly an improvement on base HL2, i do have a few personal opinions on gameplay i'd like to share: 1) i don't like the NPCs being able to use the submachine gun grenade launcher, as its almost impossible to react in time. the hand grenades work because of the red light and the delay before detonation, giving the player time to see it coming and react. 2) i think the AR2 alt fire moves too slowly, making it really weird that the NPCs don't move to avoid it 3) while they are aggressive, NPCs rarely seem to chase the player down, preferring long lines of sight. one of the things that made HL1 grunts frustrating was their habit of 1 or 2 NPCs chasing the player while the rest chuck grenades. the combine are inferior enemies because they tend to stay in one spot and shoot at the player, in the final room of the build i ended up with the combine shooting at me from so far away, that they were doing almost no damage, while i simply sniped them with the crossbow overall, though, i think there is a ton of potential in your game, keep up the good work!
Hey, sorry for taking a long time to get back to you. The issues you had should be fixed in the build 2164, that i just uploaded.
Maybe their walking or runing animations can change when they get a lot of damage, like in half life 1. Well, i havent tested yet, just an idea.
That's a good idea. Tho idk when i get to work on the animations again, the ones currently in the game are used as a placeholder. Still, thank you for your feedback.
If you are thinking for new weapons, new enemy types, story, sceneario anything. I can help you about it, draw concepts of them for you. Right now, I dont know what this mod is about.
The NPCs were fun to fight, but they got lazy or confused 2 times. But yeah, your NPCs are great so far
