Fun fact! James Benson made this as a way to get Valve's attention, and hopefully, a job:
"Those videos were 100% auditions to get Valve's attention,"
He went on to take (and fail) two job interviews at Valve, before settling on a job at Lionhead, working as a junior animator on "Milo and Kate" (that was a whole other bucket of beans).
After he was laid off there, we would do work on Ori and the Blind Forest, and then joined Campo Santo to work on Firewatch. People who know Valve history can piece together what happened next :)
