saw this on TWHL and had to try it, never knew you could put models in the skybox in hl1. I'm guessing it's probably bad for map performance though.

Wait, how?
you basically just preposition and scale the model in whatever 3d tool you use to export to smd, while keeping the origin of the model at the center. then you can place a monster_furniture using that as a model, and as long as the entity's origin is in the map it'll work. you also need to increase the max render distance in the map properties if it's really big.
