Hello and apologies for the long wait! Today we, alongside @reliableexcavdemoreal have made a temporary truce to celebrate the anniversary of us getting founded!... Which is very long overdue, but our archivist got lost and we were forced to wait (And before you ask, yes, both us and @reliableexcavdemoreal have a joint archive managed by Mann Co. due to some logistical kerfuffle). However, now the wait is over and both of us have a very special treat for you all! Some old photos from days gone by! One from the 30s, and a very rare piece from the 20s! Truly antique. Context of both below! Photo 1: The old mercenaries waiting for the match to restart, as it was temporarily halted due to a power outage, and at the time it was stated in the rules that the facility where a match is taking place must be powered for it to commence. If not, the match must be halted until power is restored. This photo was taken the 3rd time this happened, which was also the longest and also last time this rule was in effect. Not too soon after, the rule was abolished by Bilious Hale (Saxton Hale's father) as he considered it unnecessary and stated that "the lack of power and lighting provides extra challenge to the mercenaries and additional entertainment to our clients". Photo 2: Forgive us for the quality of this photograph. It was being constantly moved between multiple storage locations and was even briefly lost during WWII before being archived. Most were lost to time, but this one is one of the few remaining. It was taken during the 20s trail/elimination matches which were supposed to pick out a new mercenary team for future matches. This photo was taken after BLU absolutely steamrolled over RED. Interestingly enough, despite wining, none of the people you see here made it past the recruitment process. Remember to check out @reliableexcavdemoreal post as well, as it contains different photos. See you later!
