The mercenaries were all celebrating when the headless horseman arrived, they did not know how to defeat him but Demoman is worthy of possessing the sword and faced against the headless horseman but ends up dying. The mercenaries started to defeat him and revived Demoman and went back to partying (Spy invited Scout's mother).
