Many of Half-Life 2's cars are based on real vehicles from Eastern Europe, which fit perfectly with the Eastern European setting. Many of Half-Life 2's cars are based on real vehicles from Eastern Europe, which fit perfectly with the Eastern European setting. You can find supplies in various vans in-game. This van is featured most prominently in Half-Life 2: Episode 1, where it's used to send Gordon and Alyx back into the collapsing Citadel. β¦
π¦π’π¨π₯ππ π©ππππππ π’π₯ππππ‘π¦: Half-Life 2 Beta Present in the 2003 Half-Life 2 leak are early versions of "car001a_hatchback" and "car001b_hatchback" from Half-Life 2. Both models have higher poly models and higher resolution textures compared to their retail counterparts. In the final release, there are various different car parts scattered around that still use the old texture sheet. Just like retail, this car appears to be a mix of a Toyota Starlet and a Volkswagen Golf MkII. β¦

This car at it's core has always been a Ford Crown Victoria from somewhere around the 2000s, however the roof on the old model resembles a Ford Crown Victoria between 1992 and 1997. This car was modeled to resemble the look of the cars from Left 4 Dead and Counter-Strike: Global Offensive, since Black Mesa borrows car models from those games. In universe, the manufacturer of the car is called "Dale," named after Brian Dale who is a 3D artist at Crowbar Collective that worked on Black Mesa. #sourcevehiβ¦
