My favorite chapters in Half-Life 2 have got to be Highway 17 and Sandtraps. The feeling of driving alone through empty roads with abandoned vehicles scattered throughout, exploring abandoned homes and resistance outposts.
All with the weirdly calming foggy coastal scenery, combined with the ambiance of the ocean.
The inclusion of ambient music like "Lab Practicum" and "Highway 17" only amplify these feelings. Plus, I really enjoy driving segments in games.

The feeling of a pose after fighting, that sense of relaxing fog, the ambience of the bridge foundations and structure. The semi-destroyed houses by the sea implying that normal life once existed there. And then the edgy feeling that if you touch the infected sand, you're dead. The feeling of an acrobat trying to get to the other side of the rope without tripping. YES
