And instead of starving to death in Nihilant chamber with rotting corpse - he being saved by some guy who can teleport (and yeah. in HL1 he have only teleportation and talking ability) and stays as theoretical wage worker. I think it is pretty good ending.

I totally agree with this, unlike Half-Life, which ended on a cliffhanger, Portal 2 ended on an actual ending. GLaDOS accepts that she can’t kill Chell so she decides to let her go free and leave Aperture, even giving back Chell the Companion Cube. Where would you even go from there with an ending like that?
