Aperature's symbol is literally the aperture of a camera. And that is a photo agency, I'm more surprised I haven't seen a photo company use the aperature logo WAY sooner lol.

I guess? I mean it's literally just a shape of an already existing object so I'm not 100% what you mean by "popularize". I think if portal didn't exist photo companies would still use the logo because it literally has to do with photography originally, before portal existed. I think it's a cool name and logo but I honestly don't think portal is the reason someone in the photo industry uses that symbol lol, unless they specifically say So I guess.
