just dont allow it if you think its a virus or wait for the creators response its just a windows defender thing i got the same thing when i was trying to download a trainer for hitman
What's probably happening: the tool automates a lot of stuff. What also automates stuff? That's right, viruses. How will the antivirus understand if it's malicious or not?

Windows Defender is generally terrible, you're fine.
well the main thing is it was flagged 3 times, and showed some random file its installed
ive installed trojans before by accident, and what i experienced with windows defender is just like that
I've downloaded safe files that are triggered by Windows Defender as well, it usually flags them as Wacatac.B!ml
Yeah its true happened to me when bms update came out and my hitman trainer mod got flagged too downloaded from nexus mods btw
i dont know what wacatac is but I stumbled upon it
pretty sure its a false positive
it showed a file that was installed and it wasnt called mapbase
happens sometimes when black mesa update came out my antivirus thought it was a virus
okay but um
this all happened right around me installing the modding tool

idk its either a mapbase thing that was infected, or XBLAH has malicious intent
if he wanted to put a virus he would've been already banned from here like overcharged got taken down
fair point, it might be a new thing, like i said, he either updated mapbase but it was malicious, or he updated his software and made it malicious
idk its just windows defender being weird
yeah maybe

all happened around the time i installed it
